Cefotetan Free Acid
Cefotetan Free Acid is an injectable antibiotic of the cephamycin type for prophylaxis and treatment of bacterial infections. It is often grouped together with second-generation cephalosporins and has a similar antibacterial spectrum, but with additional anti-anaerobe coverage. In microbiology it has been used in buffered Listeria Enrichment Broth together with nalidixic acid. Also used determine the antibiotic susceptibility of microorganisms using Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST).
