Resveratrol
Resveratrol (3,5,4′-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) belongs to a class of polyphenolic compounds called stilbenes and is a stilbenoid, a type of natural phenol, and a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants including the red skin of grapes, blueberries, raspberries, and mulberries.
Resveratrol has been reported to have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects. Taken in combination with other supplements it may be an effective way to relieve the inflammatory symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
