G418 Disulfate
G418 Disulfate salt, (also known as Geneticin Disulfate), is an aminoglycoside antibiotic similar in structure to gentamicin sulfate used for selection and maintenance of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells transfected with a iNOS promoter construct and neomycin resistance gene. G418 Disulfate, and other aminoglycosides prevent protein synthesis. Optimal concentrations for selection and maintenance vary by cell lines.
