Diclazuril
Diclazuril, is a new anticoccidial drug. It is a triazinone antiprotozoal that is effective for treating infections caused by Isospora spp., Toxoplasma gondii,and Eimeria spp. and has been used for treating coccidiosis. It also has been used in horses to treat equine protozoal myeloencephalitis(EPM) caused by Sarcocystis neurona. Toltrazuril sulfone (ponazuril) is an active metabolite found in serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of treated horses.
