Cycloheximide
Cycloheximide, also know as Actidione, is an antibiotic produced by the bacterium Streptomyces griseus. It is widely used for selection of CHX-resistant strains of yeast and fungi. It is suitable for use in all culture applications. Plant Biology. Cell Culture.
It is frequently used in microbiology as a component of Legionella (GVPC) Selective Supplement and also in WL Nutrient Agar Medium, for the determination of the microbiological flora in brewing and fermentation.
