Cidofovir
Cidofovir is a new anti-viral drug. It is classified as a nucleotide analogue and is active against herpes cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis infection. It is reported that Cidofovir and brincidofovir could possibly be used to treat monkeypox, though there is insufficient data on their effectiveness for monkeypox treatment in humans at this time.
