Brincidofovir
Brincidofovir, sold under the brand name Tembexa, is an antiviral drug used to treat smallpox. Brincidofovir is a prodrug of cidofovir. Brincidofovir shows activity against a broad spectrum of DNA viruses including cytomegalovirus (CMV), adenovirus (ADV), varicella zoster virus, herpes simplex virus, polyomaviruses, papillomaviruses, poxviruses, and mixed double-stranded DNA virus infections. Reported to be of interest in Monkeypox research.
