Coenzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q10 is also known as ubiquinone, ubidecarenone, coenzyme Q, and abbreviated at times to simply Q10. It is a 1,4-benzoquinone, where Q refers to the quinone chemical group and 10 refers to the number of isoprenyl chemical subunits in its tail. Coenzyme Q10 is a similar substance to vitamin E that was discovered in 1957. It occurs naturally in our bodies.
It is also a potent cellular antioxidant. Several companies incorporate Q10 in their cosmetic products as skin-rejuvenating and wrinkle-reducing creams.
