Naloxone
Naloxone is an opiate antagonist which is used intravenously in emergency situations to reverse respiratory depression caused by overdoses of heroin, morphine or other opioids. It is old under the brand name Narcan amongst others and was patented in 1961 and approved for opioid overdose in the United States in 1971.
